I’ve been busy out here at the cabin for the last couple of days. I kegged nine gallons of Red Chair Ale in my bright shiny new kegs. I now have six kegs and will use them most of the time. Bottling is just too much of a pain in the ass. And I brewed another nine gallons of my Light Brown Haus Ale. I’m trying to get to the point of brewing most of the beer I drink.
I put up runners for the two hop plants that I planted last year. I put four of them in long after I should have, and I’m surprised any of them survived with zero care. I also put in a drip irrigation system to water them in my absence. Next up will be to clear some of my land and start growing my own barley!
The pile is stacked waiting for the winter after next.
I did manage to find some time to surf the web. I discovered a guy I’d never heard of but should have. JT Nesbitt a true master craftsman and artist in New Orleans. If you’re interested in cars and motorcycles as art, look him up. You’ll be amazed at what you find. Here’s a video from Jay Leno’s Garage featuring one of his creations.
And now I guess I’ll head out of here and go home to Seattle to relax.
